Toronto – (May 28, 2012) – After selling over 50,000 tickets for his June tour of Canada, comedian RUSSELL PETERS announces NEW FALL DATES ACROSS CANADA, which will bring Peters to St. John’s, Newfoundland’s Mile One Centre on September 18th, Ottawa’s Scotiabank Place on September 21st, Kingston’s K-Rock Centre on September 22nd, Sudbury Arena on September 25th, London, Ontario’s John Labatt Centre on September 27th, Regina’s Brandt Centre on September 29th, Saskatoon’s Credit Union Centre on September 30th, Kelowna’s Prospero Place on October 2nd, Victoria’s Save on Foods Memorial Centre on October 5th, and Casino Rama on October 18th and 19th. An additional date for Montreal will be announced soon.

Russell Peters Notorious World Tour has been setting sales and attendance records around the world since the launch of the tour in Muscat in March, the tour has become the highest attended comedy show in the history of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, South Africa, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia – with audiences between 3,000 to 10,000 fans attending the shows. In Dubai, Peters was the fastest selling concert in the history of the Emirate – outselling Madonna.
The Notorious World Tour features ALL NEW MATERIAL from the Brampton raised comic. “I’ve been working on the new act since last year and building and developing the new material in clubs across the States,” says Peters. The new material has been met with rave reviews from Peters rabid fans around the world. “It’s been great being back on-stage and back on the road again.”
Peters will also be the first stand-up comedian to play Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center in November and he’ll also play the Staples Center in Los Angeles in December. The Notorious World Tour continues into 2013 where it will travel to the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and return dates in Asia.

Starting in 2008, Peters was one of the first stand-up comedians to self-finance, self-produce and distribute his own comedy specials and DVD’s, with Red, White and Brown and 2011’s, The Green Card Tour LIVE from the O2 Arena. The DVD’s went on to sell over 200,000 units across North America. Both specials were broadcast on Showtime Networks and Comedy Central in the States as well as Netflix globally. Peters is currently working on developing original content for Netflix.
Peters has given away more than a million dollars over the past several years to various charities, from the Brampton Civic Hospital, to Heart House Hospice, Gilda’s Club, the MS Society and a scholarship at his old high-school, The Russell Peters North Peel Scholarship to send a deserving student to college. The scholarship is now in its third year.
The tour will feature Russell's Official Tour DJ's, Toronto's DJ Starting from Scratch and New York City's DJ Spinbad, as well as video cameras and screens for an up-close and intimate show, which will capture Peters’ signature audience improv in an arena setting.
