Russell Peters Notorious World Tour has been setting sales and attendance records around the world since the launch of the tour in Muscat in March, the tour has become the highest attended comedy show in the history of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, South Africa, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia – with audiences between 3,000 to 10,000 fans attending the shows. In Dubai, Peters was the fastest selling concert in the history of the Emirate – outselling Madonna. The Notorious World Tour features ALL NEW MATERIAL from the Brampton raised comic. “I’ve been working on the new act since last year and building and developing the new material in clubs across the States,” says Peters. The new material has been met with rave reviews from Peters rabid fans around the world. “It’s been great being back on-stage and back on the road again.” Peters will also be the first stand-up comedian to play Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center in November and he’ll also play the Staples Center in Los Angeles in December. Starting in 2008, Peters was one of the first stand-up comedians to self-finance, self-produce and distribute his own comedy specials and DVD’s, with Red, White and Brown and 2011’s, The Green Card Tour LIVE from the O2 Arena. The DVD’s went on to sell over 200,000 units across North America. Both specials were broadcast on Showtime Networks and Comedy Central in the States as well as Netflix globally. Peters is currently working on developing original content for Netflix.
