With seventeen dates across Canada beginning in St. John's, NL and ending in Vancouver, BC, Deep Purple are poised for a flurry of performances. Nearly four decades after forming, over 100 million albums sold worldwide and recent recipients of The Innovator Award at the 2011 Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards, Deep Purple are without a doubt one of the most dynamic and influential bands in rock history.

Victoria, November 30, 2010 - Cirque du Soleil is pleased to announce that its newest arena show, Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”), will be performing in Victoria from June 22 - 26, 2011 at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre for eight performances only.

Advance discounted tickets for Dralion are available now online exclusively to Cirque Club members through December 5. Cirque Club membership is free and benefits includes access to advance tickets, special offers and exclusive behind the scenes information. To join, go to www.cirqueclub.com.

Thrilling more than 8 million people worldwide since the show premiered in 1999, Dralion is the fusion of ancient Chinese circus traditions and the avant-garde style of Cirque du Soleil. In Fall 2010, Dralion will embark on a new journey, performing the same captivating production, but now in arenas throughout North America, giving more people the opportunity to enjoy a Cirque du Soleil show in their own town.

The Show

The name Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”) is drawn from its two main symbols: the dragon, representing the East, and the lion, representing the West. Dralion derives much of its inspiration from Eastern philosophy with its perpetual quest for harmony between humankind and nature. The international cast features 52 world-class acrobats, gymnasts, musicians, singers and comedic characters.
