(Victoria, BC) – Canada’s premier figure skating Tour, Sears Stars on Ice Presented by Samsung, is proud to announce that World Champion and Three-Time Japanese Champion Miki Ando will join a superstar ensemble of Olympic, World and National Champions from all over the globe for select performances in British Columbia. Ando, who placed 4th overall at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, hails from Nagoya, Japan. She will be joining the Tour when it glides into Victoria, BC on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 for a 7:00 PM performance at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Sears Stars on Ice Presented by Samsung continues to be a pioneer in figure skating by offering fans the rare opportunity to witness some of the world’s most creative and cherished champions performing together in both individual and ensemble routines. For most Select Your Tickets events in conjunction with the promoter or venue, we institute a lottery draw for walk-up consumers 15-30 minutes before an onsale. Numbers after the number drawn will line up sequentially. Any numbers preceding the number drawn will line up at the end of the line. Any patrons arriving after the draw will line up after the last ticket. This is to ensure consumer fairness.

Victoria, November 30, 2010 - Cirque du Soleil is pleased to announce that its newest arena show, Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”), will be performing in Victoria from June 22 - 26, 2011 at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre for eight performances only.

Thrilling more than 8 million people worldwide since the show premiered in 1999, Dralion is the fusion of ancient Chinese circus traditions and the avant-garde style of Cirque du Soleil. In Fall 2010, Dralion will embark on a new journey, performing the same captivating production, but now in arenas throughout North America, giving more people the opportunity to enjoy a Cirque du Soleil show in their own town.

The Show

The name Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”) is drawn from its two main symbols: the dragon, representing the East, and the lion, representing the West. Dralion derives much of its inspiration from Eastern philosophy with its perpetual quest for harmony between humankind and nature. The international cast features 52 world-class acrobats, gymnasts, musicians, singers and comedic characters.
